Welcome to Lawrence, a town which is home to the KU Jayhawks, William Burroughs, and Victorian residences, and is located a short walk away from Midwestern countryside. The cosmopolitan community here thrives on its uniqueness and exudes its vibrance through the many groups that bring Lawrence to life.
Community events share sights and sounds as widespread as the backgrounds of the people who organize them. Jawhawk fans make their pilgrimage to KU whenever they can. Local athletes practice and compete in sports ranging from sailing to judo.
